Amit Saraswat

It’s more than 15 years of my interaction with Oracle during my collage days. From day one back in May 2002, when I got chance to work on Oracle 8. My understanding started with DBMS == SQLPLUS == Oracle. Since then SQL language stolen my interest and injected into administration of the one of the known RDBMS system called Oracle DBMS.

During 8 years of my professional career,  I learnt and enjoyed my work on Oracle 8, 8i, 9iR1, 9iR2, 10gR1, 10gR2, 11gR1 and 11gR2. And now waiting to explore the upcoming release 12c.

Currently working as a Senior Oracle DBA with Oracle Corp. As core oracle DBA my exposure varies from domain expertise in data centre migration, database Upgrade and troubleshoot database recovery & performance issues. Expert level hands on experience in setup oracle database environment from scratch, database upgrade using different approaches, patching, configuration, administration, security management, performance optimization etc.

Oracle is my passion and during my free time you can find me playing with oracle database in my test lab or else watching science fiction movies when my wife is not at home 🙂

I am a big fan of Thomas Kyte, Richard Foote, Jonathan Lewis and Uwe Hesse.
